Make It a Week of Wine and Food in The Woodlands
Are you prepared to experience the awe and passions of a week of world class wines with foods fit for royalty during Wine and Food Week in The Woodlands? Enjoy your sensory sensations on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday during the week of June 3rd in various locations in The Woodlands. This is the 20th Anniversary of Wine and Food Week in The Woodlands. Start the wine week with yoga from Aruba on Wednesday morning followed by wines and lite bites.. Later that Wednesday is Wines Around the World featuring an extraordinary display of diverse international wines. There are over 8,000 grape varietals throughout the world. Let’s see how many different grapes you can taste. If you want to expand your palette, this is a great event to participate in to educate yourself in our world’s great portfolio of wines. Travel Guides will lead you on your wine travel excursions to various rooms for each of the countries to enjoy wines paired with foods to get you in the “travel mode.”
Enjoy your Thursday evening at Rose’ Way: A Sweet Soiree which will be hosted in one of Oprah Winfrey’s favorite Event Centers. Nestled in the old peach orchard south of Sawdust Road is The Peach Orchard Venue where pink Summer Sippers paired with fashion presented by award-winning fashion designer, Chloe Dao. Roses’ are a wonderful option to white wines in our Hot, Humid Summers. You don’t need to sweat it since the air conditioned indoors, wines, and arts will make you feel COOL! Dress of the evening is pink!
The Estrogen Event of the Year is Ladies of the Vine Tasting, Luncheon, and Panel discussions at the Club at Carlton Woods. The elegant event features intimate tasting stations featuring wines produced by women, followed by a plated luncheon, and panel discussion by a group of prominent wine women. Monique Studak, Principal at Thirst For Knowledge is the panel moderator, leading an awesome panel consisting of Jennifer Chapple of Share A Splash, Carissa Stephens of Pur Noire Wines, Karen Bonarrigo of Messina Hof Winery, and Denise Ehrich of Renaissance Wine Marketing. These ladies will share their personal journey with wine as they speak to their pairings. BTW, men are also allowed at the event.
Friday of that week brings a more casual event at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center, called Sips, Suds, and Savor. Wines, beers, foods, and live music will highlight this evening for both wine and beer lovers.
Saturday evening will culminate the week with a formal world class event. The Wine Rendezvous Grand Tasting and Chef Showcase will be hosted in the entire first floor of The Woodlands Waterway Convention Center. Wine and Food Pods will grace the entire floor with five or six wineries per Pod along with Chefs cooking and sharing their food creations. Those same food creations will be judged by a talented group of famous foodies to crown the Best Chef at the event with the coveted Chef of Chef Awards and a cash prize. The event features over 50 restaurants and over 500 different wines.
Will you be here for these events? Tickets are going fast for these events with tickets available at www.wineandfoodweek.com/events.Order now rather than later because there will probably be none later.
A quality event this big needs an outstanding sponsor. H. E. B. Grocery Stores is again the main sponsor with a presence throughout the week of events. Specials in several H. E. B. Stores will run through this week of wines and foods. Look for the Central Market H. E. B. booth at Saturday’s world class event. BTW, H. E. B. is the large wine retailer in the State of Texas.
