TEXAS WINES RECOGNIZED IN CALIFORNIA WINE COMPETITION

Texas Wines Recognized in California Wine Competition
Results are in for the 2026 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition with Texas wines amassing recognition and medals. Seven Texas wines earned “Best of Class” with twenty-seven Texas wines earning Double Gold Medals against wines from all over the United States. In addition, sixty-eight Gold Medals were also bestowed on Texas wines with an additional one-hundred-forty-seven wines receiving Silver Medals and fifty-three receiving Bronze Medals! This speaks volumes since California is recognizing that Texas is making some awesome wines. Furthermore, the recognition is solidly with Double Gold, Gold, and Silver Medals with Bronze Medals trailing in the overall tally. It is obvious that less of the lower tier means the other wines are among the best of the best wines judged at this prestigious wine competition. “Best of Class” Texas Wines include:
• Augusta Vin 2022 Dragonfly Red wine blend
• Augusta Vin 2022 Beau Chance Red wine blend
• Hilmy Cellars 2021 Montepulciano
• Jaclynn Renee 2024 Mourvedre
• Llano Estacado 2024 Rose’
• Missick Cellars 2024 Viognier
• Whatley Wines 2021 The Missing Piece Red wine blend
