THE RETURN OF WINE AND FOOD WEEK IN THE WOODLANDS
WINE AND FOOD WEEK IN THE WOODLANDS returns en masse with culinary delights of wines and foods. After all, wine is a food, made from fruits and crafted into a wonderful pairing with friends and foods. This week of wine starts on June 6th and runs through June 12th except the Market Street Stroll is much better in the Fall (October 6th to be exact) along with the Platinum Wine Vault at Bayway Cadillac on August 12th. The week should start off with several select wine dinners at restaurants with nothing but indoor events for the rest of the WINE WEEK except for the Sunday Sundown Outdoor Concert at Bernhardt Winery. on June 12th. Group events include:
• June 9th – The Rose’ Way, a Sweet Soiree offers Rose’ wines, sparkling wines and trending sweet wines in the posh setting of The Peach Orchard off Sawdust Road.
• June 10th – Ladies of the Vine is the culinary event of the year for women and their man guests at The Carlton Woods. This event is usually sold off by the first of May so get your tickets now. A Panel of women moderated by Tanji Patton will investigate into the minds of Texas winemaker Denise Batek of Hye Meadow Winery in the Texas Hill Country and Jamie Benzinger of Imagery Winery in Sonoma County, California. This is a world class event aimed at featuring women in the wine industry.
• June 10th – FOR THE LOVE OF TEXAS features all great things from Texas which will include Texas wines, Texas Beers, and Texas Foods. The Friday evening event will be held indoors at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott and Convention Center. This three-hour event will provide you with a great view of Texas and how valid our Texas Bragging Rights are!
• June 11th – The Wine Rendezvous Grand Tasting and Chef Showcase will make New Yorkers cringe with jealousy as some of the world BEST Wines will be paired with extraordinary foods created before your eyes in one of twenty plus wine and food pods encompassing the entire floor of The Woodlands Waterway Convention Center. This massive extravaganza is loaded with world class wines, creative foods, and surprises. At the closing ceremony, the Winner of the Chef of Chefs Culinary Awards, as voted by an esteemed panel of culinary judges, will take home the Waterford Crystal Chef of Chefs trophy and $5,000 cash prize. For the serious wine enthusiast, you’ll want to upgrade to the Bayway Cadillac VIP Luxury Lounge. You have a guarded entry into posh settings with exclusive boutique wines.
• June 12th – Join the culmination of this week of foods and wines at the Bernhardt Winery. Select winemaker tastings, a sunset poem and toast, and a great Concert featuring Nightbird in a Fleetwood Mack Tribute Concert.
