TRY JANUARY IS THE NEW START OF THE YEAR

Try January is the New Start of the Year
The New Year is always a good way to re-design, expand and improve yourself. The month of January is a month of Resolutions. Let’s approach it as “Try January” in lieu of a desolate “Dry January!” I suggest to try several items while enjoying wines, making the month of January a perfect “wet month” in lieu of boring “Dry January!” Of the alcohols, wine is the drink with lower calories and health benefits. I have not been able to find any positive aspects for distilled alcohols and beers. I am not saying not to imbibe in those mixed drinks and beers, but wine is the best choice of alcohols. Wine is natural grape juice. You can taste the blueberries in a Cabernet Sauvignon juice or the green apples and pears in Chardonnay juice. It is naturally there. Wine has a minimal amount of ingredients others than the results of fermenting yeasts in the grape juice. Some grapes require additional organic foods for the yeast to thrive which are added in small amounts to enhance yeast activity.. Once fermentation is complete, the fermented juice is made clear through a colloidal gathering process where either bentonite clay soil dust or egg whites are added to the fully fermented juice to chemically adhere to the “sticky ionic stuff” so it will slowly settle and minimize filtration. Filtration does clear up the wine, but it also removes some of the natural flavors with too much filtration. In order to biologically stabilize the wine before bottling, potassium meta-bi-sulfites are added in low dosages. This sulfite residual is one-tenth of what you would find in tomato juice. Wine is a perfectly natural adult beverage. I hope the non-wine drinkers will try wine because of its true health aspects.
Try to consume wine in moderation. Men should limit wines to no more than two six-ounce glasses of vino daily while women should adhere to a cap of no more than one six-ounce glass of wine each day. That six-ounce glass of wine is actually one-fourth of a bottle of wine! At this level of wine consumption, wine has been found to have health enhancements. Red wines have a chemical oxidant called Reservatrol which has been found to attach the mitochondria (energy sources) in cancer cells. Consuming red wines at appropriate levels also can undo some of the harm by poor diets according to researchers at University of Texas (Dr. Apeksha Gulvady and Robert Cabera) and Henry Ciolino at the National Cancer Institute. They believe that Resveratrol impacts in a positive way the thymus, the organ responsible for the body’s cellular immune response. Red wine also raises the HDL cholesterol which is the good component of cholesterol, according to researchers at Ben-Gurion University in Israel. Furthermore, researchers at University of California found that moderate wine consumption bolstered the body’s immune system. In other words, try wine in moderation for its health aspects.
Lastly, try Texas wines to enhance your stature as a wine consumer who sees the values of Texas wines.
